NAME: she is going by Carmilla because that's her favorite psuedonym of the moment. technically her name is Mircalla but i don't expect her to share that with anybody any time soon.
AGE: died at 18, TECHNICALLY, but she poses as someone a bit older. because she does not act like a teenager. she is 340ish. but she's presenting in game at something like 21/22.
ROLE & FAMILY MEMBERS: she's "happily" married to Ian Fowler. let's all pour out one for the poor man because he has the worst wife ever.
HOUSING: she is residing at 327 Midwich. so midwich gang, rise up!!!
EMPLOYMENT/EDUCATION: she is not really a hard worker but for necessities sake she'll probably be an incredibly mean librarian. no talking!!
REGULAR HAUNTS: she is a bit of a homebody so frequently she'll be at her place. considering she has to eat food now and is not a great cook, she can also be caught at the diner and most certainly the bar. and last but not least, the library. she loves reading and might begrudgingly "work" there, so she'd be easy to find there!

CHARACTER BACKGROUND: Carmilla has been a 3rd year philosophy major for something like 80 years. she was tragically murdered at her birthday ball (she was a countess because of course she was) and has been vampiric ever since. she was basically coerced into servitude by her sire, and ended up here after "murdering" her, as far as she knows. she's snarky and mean, and has a secret bleeding heart that she tries to avoid showing.
CURRENT PLANS/POTENTIAL HOOKS: i don't have HUGE plans just yet, since she's pretty new. i hope to be able to put together an open post of arrival and initial mingling, and perhaps on the event? i will say i don't think i'm cozy with her getting maimed instantly on arrival so we'll see how that event goes when i see more. BUT UNTIL THEN... brusque arrival threads anyone?? possibly contemplating robbie-ing her and doing a valentines thing but we'll see how things go with the event, lol

She spent the next 100 years fighting in every major world conflict and hiding it, leading a mostly isolated life. Most recently, she teamed up with some new friends to save the world from an evil space invader, and realized that maybe having friends is ok sometimes.

EMPLOYMENT/EDUCATION: A non-descript but no less respected mail packaging warehouse. He has the arms for it you see.
REGULAR HAUNTS: Besides his work that he’s kind of addicted to cause that’s The Kind Of Person He Is, he spends a lot of time at the Park and passes it by every morning cause he goes for runs a lot, but neighbors will find him on the lawn warming up for the day too. I mean he looks more like he’s warming for a fight most of the time cause he martial arts trains but it’s fine don’t worry about it. He very, very pointedly avoids the lake even though he looks in its direction a hell of a lot and on rare occasions will have a drink at a bar (and it will probably be slightly more frequent for recent things) and he’ll be around the library and diner a lot for reasons I’ll explain in a bit.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND: Raised in occupied by evil empire’s occupied territory and made to be an officer for it turned adventurer turned hero of light and darkness. Ridden with PTSD from both experiences that he refuses to acknowledge for the sake of getting the job done, but also really really wants to act like a regular dude so he’s nice as he can to everyone he meets and would 100% brutally murder for you, maybe even if you’re a dick, if you were nice to him Once. But he’s also just the biggest pushover. He’s easy as hell to bully. Also highly stressed and has the emotional range and intelligence of a vegetable. God help him.
CURRENT PLANS/POTENTIAL HOOKS: So last month he did some investigating that got him tranquilized, but the photo he found in the thread is still something he remembers. He’s gonna be ruminating really heavily on where he found it and what it means because he can’t remember. In fact there’s a big gap in his memory that’s gonna really bother him most of the month, but he’s gonna do the healthy thing and bury himself deeper in this hell investigation and frequent the library for anything he can pick up about the picture. He’s also gonna be avoiding his house more since he got a fake wife who is Tiny and he doesn’t know how to process discomfort in any other way besides Not Processing It.

That aside, he got his appearance back last month but I assumed he spent most of it walking around with a hood and coat to hide his scales and tail, but since most of the locals seem to thing “lol it’s just a costume” he’s gonna give up on that front so people will likely be seeing more of this tall, scaly dragon-esque dude running around out in the open. That’s a hook in and of itself.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND: sterling archer is a hot mess. he's also the world's most dangerous secret agent.

before he was shot by a movie star for "uncovering" her complicated insurance scam, archer had spent a good few decades known across the globe for his espionage skills until everything went sideways when the CIA raided the agency for operating illegally. after then archer and co. worked as a cocaine cartel, then CIA contractors, then as a PI agency, and now they're spies again! somehow! archer fell into a 3-year coma after he was shot, from which he has only recently woken up from and it's left him with nerve damage and a profound feeling of disconnection from everyone else. he can still pull off some crazy stunts, but he's just not as good as he was before. he's also survived a lot, like a lot.

he's a super spy and lives a decadent life like james bond, but is kind of emotionally shattered from suffering nothing but trauma since before he could even walk. he also has a daughter! it's complicated and he's very sad about it.

CURRENT PLANS/POTENTIAL HOOKS: nothing right now! archer's convinced he either never woke up from or somehow fell back into his coma and this is just his most recent hallucination. his relationship with reality wasn't great even in canon, so being thrown into a jamjar... whoo boy. he's spending his time getting drunk and harassing ray and crowley, which honestly isn't too different from how he usually lives

CHARACTER BACKGROUND: I mean, Anduin is the King of Stormwind so he's used to protocol, being polite and all that good stuff. His life has been one Major Event™ after another so he's not used to so much downtime. Class wise he's considered a priest, a holy healer, but walks around in plate armour with a two handed sword and comes from a family of fierce warriors. A+. CHARACTER BACKGROUND: angelo's backstory is tragic and has a lot of trigger warnings in it; without going into too much detail, the tl;dr of it is that he grew up in a space colony that was caught up in a never-ending war, he's been spending his youth in the military, and the captain whom he works for is the one who has given him a sense of purpose in life back to him after his terrible childhood.

the thing is, the 'military' he's part of isn't a legitimate military; they're actually terrorists which the republic has given legitimacy to act on its behalf. so angelo isn't really as patriotic as they come, but when he talks about his captain he sounds like he's part of a cult. a lot of his talking points sound like propaganda.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND: Monika is a sentient video game character. She's a side character in said video game, which is about love and romance. That basically defines her. She's resentful of being a side character and wants the spotlight. Having no romance routes in her game, she craves one. Living in a fake reality, she desires more than anything to live in a world of unlimited possibilities. And unfortunately, she's ready to become a horror game villain to achieve her goals. That said, she's trying to redeem. This in turn leads into lots of self-loathing and guilt over everything she's done. Hopefully being the victim in a horror game won't make her slip back into her less than ideal ways.

CURRENT PLANS/POTENTIAL HOOKS: Monika wants two things: to live in the real world and to find love. For now, she's focusing on the former while hoping to find the later. That means whenever she finds new characters to interact with, she's gonna try to ascertain whether they're real people or walking tropes. Monika may ask some weird questions to find out if your character is complex or two-dimensional, to see if they're just a "npc" or an actual person.

All around, she's gonna be very nosy while trying to be friendly. She may play dumb if people start wondering why she's asking all those weird questions. She's pretty good at faking, but the most perceptive characters may see there is something wrong with the way she's trying to analyze everything.

Additionally, would anyone be interested in IC Literature Club meetings sometimes in the future? Not anytime soon but maybe next month. Please lemme know. If there's interest, I may try to make something where every attendant has to write a poem and then share it with everyone else. HANDWAVED CR OPTIONS: Discount haircuts from the trainee barber, fellow joggers, dealing with whatever nonsense he's gotten up to in his yard this time, cooking classes, etc. I'm not enthusiastic about handwaving first meetings, as I'm not great about guessing how characters I'm unfamiliar with might interact - and Papyrus is an oddball, which adds to the difficulty of guessing at their respective first impressions. I'd rather thread first meetings, and then handwave ongoing cr where they just cross paths and get to know each other somewhat better.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND A very cool, very handsome, loud and ridiculous skeleton monster lifelong human with a mix of forced positivity, complaints and passive aggression, and enough genuine positivity to have a good impact on the people around him.

Papyrus is unusually proactive and energetic compared to most monsters, known for his mix of antics and wacky shenanigans, with things like redecorating the whole road outside town with old-fashioned / ineffective puzzles and regularly hassling his brother at the bar. Being from a kingdom of monsters trapped underground in the unknown future of 2XXX, he has some lived under a rock gaps in his understandings of how humans work, with human fiction (from comic books to Shakespeare) filling in his guesswork. He's leaked a few details about his past, in his disorientation over the suddenly human thing, but he's working on locking that down - he and Sans agree it's better to keep the skeleton monster part secret, anyway.

CURRENT PLANS/POTENTIAL HOOKS: To better fend off further probing questions about his past and abilities, Papyrus is going to be developing his "human" cover story as... a small town government experiment to give kids superpowers...?? Basically, he'll be looking for inspiration in a mix of comicbook logic and the details others drop about their histories.

As he genuinely doubts that the newcomers to town are the only people with the mysterious wrist radios, and there's clearly some dangerous conspiracies going on in town... he wants to avoid serious questioning, scheming, and other varieties of plotting that take place over its text or voice features. For him, the radio is the subpar replacement for the internet, and a place for him to chatter at people when he's needing socialization with non-Robbies. Scheming can happen at home.

And now that he's a proud beaming father, Papyrus needs to put into action all his How To Be A Mom Dad training, and do some father&son bonding activities with Louis! Like playing catch, and going fishing at 5am, and whatever else fathers do! Which means purchasing supplies, interviewing random passersby in how they think parenting works, and so forth. The better to fit in.

TRIGGERS/PERMISSIONS: Permissions post here. Nothing much for graphic content, he's inexperienced with death and used to violence going with healing magic. Biggest thing of note is how steadfastly he can refuse to acknowledge things he doesn't want to acknowledge, especially when he's braced for it.

DESIRED CR: More of it, especially ridiculous stuff with the potential for poignant emotions underneath. See: him and Sans bickering to avoid real conversations.
Papyrus is great for bringing on shenanigans and nonsense - this is a guy who takes selfies with cardboard muscles arms, with their own sunglasses, and posts it online. He has a unique brand of encouragement to share with people, in between weirdly abrupt admissions of personal baggage.
I'd especially love for some manipulative, friendly person to tug him into their secretive schemes, as his friendship with Flowey is tragically understated in fandom circles.
UNWANTED CR: Nothing specific comes to mind, I'm interested in seeing where cr might go. I'm not seeking ships, so only if something seems to really click there.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND: Ellie is a zombie apocalypse survivor from the year 2040. A year or so ago she went on a violent murder spree in the city of Seattle to avenge her dead father figure (who was killed as retribution for when he killed a faction that was going to kill Ellie for a cure). It left Ellie with broken arm, a dead friend and further crippling PTSD that she's desperately trying to ignore in her attempt to live a normal life on a farm with her girlfriend and her son.

So DOUR STUFF. However, when Ellie lets her guard down, she can actually be a pretty fun companion. She likes stupid humor, especially puns, and she's a huge nerd who likes science-fiction and dinosaurs.
CURRENT PLANS/POTENTIAL HOOKS: Ellie is considering the idea that they are being held captive by outside forces, possibly something like aliens, in a simulated reality. She wants to hunt for clues about who is in control and what their goals are (may or may not include torture).
