ABOUT ME: I haven't been in a game since forever, so please forgive the rustiness!
CHARACTER INFO.
NAME: Monika
AGE: Unknown. Physically 18, mentally it varies. As a sort of AI, she's probably only a couple months old.
ROLE & FAMILY MEMBERS: She's a happy(?) wife who got a wonderful(??) husband in Takame and a son she's so proud(???) of in Shinji.
HOUSING: 436 Carpenter Boulevard
EMPLOYMENT/EDUCATION: She'll probably get a job at the library... And maybe make a literature club eventually.
REGULAR HAUNTS: Home sweet home! The library, of course! The park and lover's lane because they're romantic places. That's where you're likelier to find a wild Monika. In the first month you'll find her a bit everywhere though as she's scouting the place.
HANDWAVED CR OPTIONS: I'm happy handwaving the first meeting / basic intro and have our characters already "know" each other when we play, just please lemme know! I'm also happy handwaving Monika and your character meeting regularly in the places they frequent or even sometimes working together at the library. I would rather play stuff that has pretty serious consequences or lead to developments when possible though.
CHARACTER BACKGROUND: Monika is a sentient video game character. She's a side character in said video game, which is about love and romance. That basically defines her. She's resentful of being a side character and wants the spotlight. Having no romance routes in her game, she craves one. Living in a fake reality, she desires more than anything to live in a world of unlimited possibilities. And unfortunately, she's ready to become a horror game villain to achieve her goals. That said, she's trying to redeem. This in turn leads into lots of self-loathing and guilt over everything she's done. Hopefully being the victim in a horror game won't make her slip back into her less than ideal ways.
CURRENT PLANS/POTENTIAL HOOKS: Monika wants two things: to live in the real world and to find love. For now, she's focusing on the former while hoping to find the later. That means whenever she finds new characters to interact with, she's gonna try to ascertain whether they're real people or walking tropes. Monika may ask some weird questions to find out if your character is complex or two-dimensional, to see if they're just a "npc" or an actual person.
All around, she's gonna be very nosy while trying to be friendly. She may play dumb if people start wondering why she's asking all those weird questions. She's pretty good at faking, but the most perceptive characters may see there is something wrong with the way she's trying to analyze everything.
Additionally, would anyone be interested in IC Literature Club meetings sometimes in the future? Not anytime soon but maybe next month. Please lemme know. If there's interest, I may try to make something where every attendant has to write a poem and then share it with everyone else. It wouldn't be just a Monika log but also a mingle for everyone attending.
OPEN POSTS/TOPLEVELS: Nothing yet, but I may post an intro this week before the event goes up. Not sure right now, but if I do I'll put a prompt for whatever it is we plan!
TRIGGERS/PERMISSIONS: Please don't break the fourth wall. That's really the only thing. The implications would devastate her and ruin her potential development.
DESIRED CR: Everythiiiing. Monika wants to make friends. For now, it's important she makes new relationships so she can feel less alone. Negative CR is fine too, should it somehow happen or should you have something in mind!
As a more specific wish, I would love for Monika be able to befriend the characters who are familiar with the fourth wall in their homeworlds, characters who are also fictional in nature, AIs and robots. Hopefully someday they could trust each other and even share their experiences! Or maybe not...

Papyrus is one of the 'dateable' (for a very given value) characters of his respective game, and plays up the videogame tropes enough that he practices standing around reciting monologues. (He probably doesn't know their world is a game, so I'm not going to go that far drawing parallels, but he is friends with the reset-aware and manipulative character of Undertale, and so he knows some things he really shouldn't). My point being, there's some ways he outright behaves more like a 2D character than he is, and if her questions sound like references to time screwy stuff, he - and his brother - might react strangely.
It seems like they're likely to cross paths at the library sooner or later, he's doing research into how carpentry works without magic, in preparation for... building a deck. Gotta fit in with the Robbies, right?

And she wants to try fitting with the robbies too, but for very different reasons.Ironically, in the last game I played one of Monika's best friend was an AU!Papyrus. Perhaps them becoming friend is fate!
She just hopes his brother won't hear some things from Sayori and judge she deserves a bad time. She's just LV 4 at most, promised.

And aww, that's excellent! Were they a CR!AU, or one of the popular fandom AUs, or something else?
If nothing else, Sayori will probably be very slow to admit to anything negative about anyone, so Monika should have a chance to give her own impression first. No promises about what Sans perceives out of her, though.

I'm working on a catch-all log with a couple prompts now, but I'll probably be amending it depending on the details of the HHA stuff.
(I suspect I know the AU, especially if he opted to wear a labcoat a lot, and I recall that being a fun one! One where all the characters' personalities were pretty intact, even with the differences, which is always challenging to pull of. Fun to hear someone was rping them!)
