Rachel Gardner | Angels of Death

I; OCTOBER 1ST
[Closet doors flung open, windows slammed against their frames. Rachel causes quite a bit of commotion before she finally comes to her senses. Whether the shattered window and Zack's voice had all been a dream or not is better left to one side for now as she comes to the slow realization that she's sure not in her room anymore.

Shortly after her moments of frantic noise the blonde can be found still clad in the button-up shirt and pants of her light blue pajamas in the living room. The television might be blaring in the background with it's cheerful tune but something has apparently captured Rachel's attention so firmly that she doesn't even look up when anyone else enters the room.

If one gets a bit closer they'll notice she holds one of the many picture frames between her hands. She stands there staring at it, seemingly rooted in place. She'll acknowledges anyone's presence without ceremony, simply turning towards them with brow furrowed and gaze confused.]

It's a family picture.

[Yep, it's hard to deny that what the shot is. It looks to be at some outdoor barbecue, a family crowded around a picnic table. They're squished in close together, Rachel held against one of the parent's sides in a one-armed embrace.]

II; DON'T BE A SQUARE!
[One of the many overly bubbly and kind of psychotically friendly neighbors approaches, her hand on the shoulder of a young teenager with possibly the flattest expression and dullest gaze ever. There's a party hat strapped at an off-kilter angle to the girl's head and a covered Pyrex dish clutched between her hands. Someone's slapped a badge on her that reads 'Rachel' as well.]

Here you are, one of your new neighbors! Now get along, you two!

[The woman then turns Rachel loose, though not before patting her on the side of the head not bearing a hat. The woman's smile is dizzingly large and cheerful.]

And if you could be a dear, take that dish to one of the tables for me too, alright?

[The woman leaves as abruptly as she arrived and the girl she left behind gives whoever she's been introduced to (though it wasn't much of an introduction, was it) a flat look. Her tone is soft and as dull as the look in her eyes.]

She thought I was being shy.

III; ALWAYS RESPECT THE DEAD
[The house has descended into full panic. Maybe the whole neighborhood has really, Rachel isn't entirely sure. Either way the jack-o-lantern's lights have gone out in this particular home and those grimy children gurgling for treats have burst through.

And there's one similarly small shadow darting among them. It doesn't look decomposing but one can't be completely sure, can they?]

IV; WILDCARD
[Want to do one of the other prompts? Maybe a network thing? Feel free to hit me up here! PMs open for plotting too.]
