Nora - Sole Survivor | Fallout 4

1. October 1st

[ For a brief moment, Nora almost convinced herself that it was the Wasteland that had been the dream. This place was so similar to how the world had looked before the bombs fell, and there was a part of her that just wanted to play along, regain some sense of normality. Except that there was nothing normal about this at all, not when she scratched past the surface. The more she looked at pictures of herself around the house - in the high school yearbook, at her wedding ceremony - the more she knows that something is really wrong. She's not sure if the world around her has changed or if something is messing with her head, but either way she couldn't stick around here playing house while Shaun was still missing. She'd half-convinced herself that the voice she'd heard crying for help when she woke up was him.

She gets dressed and heads outside, feeling vulnerable without a gun at her hip, and leans against the porch of her assigned home, arms folded over her chest, frowning as she watches people come and go, watching for anyone who looks as confused as she feels. ]

Hey. You just wake up here too?

2. Getting to know the neighbors

[ As much as she wants to just find a way back to the Commonwealth, it doesn't take her long to realise that it's not all that simple. She decides to watch and wait, get to know the people and the neighborhood, feel out anything strange.

At least, that's what she'd intended by going to the block party. It's not long before she's swept up into the festivities, grudgingly at first when they put the party hat on her, but more happily when she has a plate of jello salad thrust toward her. ]

Oh my God, I used to make this. I've missed this.

3. Halloween

[ Kids have always been her biggest weakness. Especially since losing Shaun, Nora's desperate to look after any children she comes across as best as she can. She opens the door with a big smile on her face and a bowl full of candy to offer the kids on her doorstep, but as soon as she gets a proper look at them she realises that something is horribly wrong.

She's not prepared for them to jump her, and she flails around wildly, quickly overpowered. ]
